Botham Jean Memorial Committee introduces the concept of Landscape Reparations into public discussion via Dallas Observer article.

Often the first thing to be done is to get people thinking in new ways and that involves often new concepts and that involves new terms to get people thinking about new ideas. 

The new terms and new concept is "landscape reparations."

The Botham Jean Committee had a rally and the terms "landscape reparations" were used in the speeches and additonally the fact that the landscape didn't have Africaness was mentioned. So the concept is now out  there, and I hope it goes national. I haven't put the speeches online. I hope to get that done at some point. Look to this blog to see the updated info. 

The Friendship West Baptist Church had a speaker and the speaker used the term and it was used in their Zoom broadcast. So the concept is out there. I look forward to it continuing to spread and to reach a broader audience, hopefully nationally.

Article on how revolting Mirabeau Lamar was.

I am planning to help out with the renaming of Lamar St. to Botham street. I have been studying street name chaning in Dallas, the history, and the municipal code.

This is a good short summary article about Mirabeau Lamar. He is really dreadful. Historians are aghast at him and say "he was the worst." I am going to start compling a history on him.
